be joy

be joy

be joy

Joy is not happiness, but often the two get mixed up. Happiness is typically considered situational, whereas joy comes from deep within and cannot be shaken by happenstances.

For a Christian, joy comes from our hope in God and trust in His promises. So to “be joy” means showing others that we are not moved or changed by things happening around us!

This is definitely something I struggle with. Frustrations, people, just feeling blah, the overwhelming life around me, and my unhappiness is evident. And joy is nowhere to be found. Especially on a 4-hour drive, with a 4 year old saying, “mom” every 2 minutes and the headache mounting… I am everything BUT joy at those moments.

So what do you do to help keep your joy?

“But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭TLV‬‬
