We all can see ourselves in this story. We all have days when we wake up, irritated at everything, without understanding why. We can’t explain it, we cannot make it go away, and that causes us more irritation. If we, as adults, experience it, you can be assured our children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews experience it too!

When we go to God with our “I don’t know why I’m mad, but help me” moments, the irritation may not go away immediately, but we can rest knowing it’s going to be alright. The anger isn’t going to last forever. The burden of trying to fix it won’t continue to hold us down. And in that, we can find rest and maybe find a smile.
