be peace

be peace

Starting a new series of “be”. Today’s “be peace” is a daily struggle. My personality tends to be excitable and not peaceful. I get wrapped up in the situation, the chaos, the noise, and my tendency is to add to it, not calm and be peaceful.

Even in our modern society, if you aren’t busy and going constantly, you are viewed as not being sufficient enough. Parents have “one up games” determining who is the busiest family, using it as the marker for being a successful parent. It is easy to be swept away trying to find your value in how busy you and your family are.

So today’s reminder is to “be peace.” It’s ok to pursue calmness. It’s ok that your schedule isn’t full and your family can just BE. Your success as a parent and family aren’t truly measured by how chaotic your life is. So for today, be the peace you are looking for. Allow the Holy Spirit to calm you. Remember one thing God has called us to is peace.

“But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭TLV‬‬
