Daffodil
I LOVE this daffodil design. Daffodils are just happy flowers and often bring a smile to anyone’s face. It is another flower featured in Fruit of the Spirit: Daily Journal on the Joy days. One of the questions for Joy is “Was I a complainer or encourager today?” Because let’s be honest, there are THOSE days when all we do is complain.
For example, “It’s gloomy and misty today, we may be in front of screens all day, my daughter made another mess in the downstairs living room, and I am sure I just swept the kitchen 10 minutes ago…..”
It was far too easy for me to complain and allow negative thoughts to ruin my moment.
But what if I flipped it and instead said, “This is the perfect weather to be outside, not too hot for an August morning. I am glad I can snuggle up to the kids and enjoy a relaxing day. I am glad my daughter has an imagination and is finding ways to keep herself entertained, maybe I can encourage her to help be a big girl and clean it up! And thank you Lord for a kitchen full of snacks and knowing my children feel comfortable enough to eat when they desire, maybe I can ask the popcorn princess to help sweep up the mess!”
