Peace
Though not “my best work,” I still love this flower design! The Malva (Mallow) flower is a medicinal plant and for food. So it seemed fitting for Peace. As the flower brings peace in terms of healing and subsistence, we can find our peace in Christ. While we shouldn’t ignore our problems and responsibilities, we shouldn’t get anxious. God promises to take care of us, and in that, we can find peace.
One of the questions for Peace found in the Fruit of the Spirit: Daily Journal is, “What can I give to God that I am holding onto?”
We can so quickly say, “nothing” but deep down, there is probably something. Here is mine. I tend to hold onto anger and frustration. Most won’t see it, but when I feel a loss of control, I don’t cling to God, instead, I cling to anger. It’s something I desperately need to let go of. When my children act out of line or fail to heed my warnings after the umpteenth time, peace is out the door and frustration takes full control. And it’s not healthy, beneficial, or fair.
So what is stealing your peace today that you need to hand off to God?
